This training for patient and family volunteers, includes the fundaments of hospice end-of-life services that supporting the patient and family experiences including: interdisciplinary care, supportive presence, care coordination as a member of the interdisciplinary team, balancing personal loss with healing, grief and bereavement. Up to 18 hours of training resources include facilitator notes and guides, participant handouts, learning activities, and Power Point presentations with the ability to add agency specific content. It is recommended that volunteers attend Initial Hospice Orientation prior to this training.
