These training modules were developed to provide hospice professionals with knowledge and skills helpful in assisting patients and families living with dementias, including Alzheimer’s Disease. The modules were developed to meet the Florida Department of Elder Affairs Approved Curriculum criteria as well as general instruction for communication with cognitively impaired individuals. The trainings come in two different formats and are suitable for all clinical and non-clinical hospice staff.

• One (1) and Three (3) hour PowerPoint presentations with trainer notes. Organizations using this curriculum to meet requirements for licensure in Florida have the responsibility for providing approved trainers for classroom instruction or approved trainers to certify that participants meet the standards of the program.
