Psychosocial, Bereavement and Spiritual counselors are often called upon by the rest of the team to demonstrate leadership within the interdisciplinary team, guiding interventions toward the achievement of patient/family goals. Yet it is not uncommon to hear the words “What are you going to do about this?” placing team members in a crisis intervention mode. This two-day intensive workshop will address advanced skill sets required for the hospice psychosocial/spiritual professional to transform from reactive to proactive by focusing on developing advanced skill sets related to counseling, coaching and interdisciplinary team dynamics. The coaching model of care will be applied from assessment, to goal setting and intervention strategies.
